Find the Warrior Inside of you

The expression Warrior is implied and understood as a strong brave courageous soldier, who laughs in the face of battle and fearlessly walk into the abyss. In fact people demonstrate courage and Warrior spirit just by opening themselves up to love, admitting their vulnerability, asking for help, standing up to what they’re afraid of, starting that book and taking that course and buying those business cards.

The reason for this is that we shouldn’t be afraid of death, but we should be afraid of never really living.
As I grew up on a local council estate in Kingswood in Bristol and now own and manage a large property portfolio, have my own coaching business and have a unique talent in helping helping people really stand up to what they’re afraid of, as I have had to do the same and face my demons, I have an important message to share.
At Yes group this month you will be taken through pain and then into a strong compelling positive Warrior mind to move forward, I highly recommend that you make this event as you might be very surprised at the version of you that we’re going to make show up.

Carol often gives us a poem on the fly about our talks. She is giving one of the short talks in the form of a poem, and one she prepared earlier, last year in fact – My Halloween Dream. As well as local storytelling and poems with kids, she has been involved with Sunshine Radio in Weston doing poems for patients.

Joe is one of our members, and quite a special guy. Joe will share in a short talk why it is important that Kids Company continue to their important work and what it has meant personally to him taking on the challenge of trekking up Mt Kilimanjaro ;
- Kids Company was founded in 1996
- Currently supporting 14,000 vulnerable children through their drop in centres
- 87% has emotional and mental health difficulties
- 84% homeless
- 84% Sustained trauma
- 82% Substance misuse
What it has meant to me since making the decision to trek 19,000 feet up Kilimanjaro, the huge impact on my life it is already having on my life. And how the learning I have already gained since making the decision I recognised can be applied in all aspects of my life.
And finally the number one lesson learned is “There are times when doing something for someone else can be the greatest motivator of all”.
