Mags MacKean, has been driven by those very questions to quit her successful BBC career, scale some of the highest peaks around the world, and live with shamans in the jungle swamps of the Amazon. Described by Bear Grylls as ‘simply one of life’s braves’, Mags has devoted her life to experiencing the difference between success and fulfilment. The founder of Bristol’s ‘urban shaman’ events will take us on a journey to explore how our goal-driven culture is like the fast food of the soul. She’ll share tips on how to transform the appearance of ‘success’ into authentic and lasting joy – the ultimate expression of who we really are.

Mags is passionate about personal transformation, and how that changes the world. She’s immersed in Amazonian medicine practises, and those of the Chavin Mesa and Qu’ero tradition in the Andes. She is a graduate of Medical Anthropologist Dr. Alberto Villoldo’s Healing The Light Body School.

Her book “Meetings On The Edge. A High Level Escape From Office Routine” charts her adventures around the world in her hapless quest to be a mountaineer, after ten years as a BBC journalist. A qualified life-coach, and Outdooor Educator, trained at America’s National Outdoor Leadership School, Mags now leads workshops and retreats in some of the wilder spaces she’s roamed.

It is fascinating to find out more about the contracts they had before they incarnated and the reflection and conclusions they made regarding their physical incarnation once back home in spiritual form.
